1. I love video games (yes, girls can play video games too).
2. I need money (partially to support that love)
3. I HATE working for other people.
I was stuck. I needed money to keep doing what I love, but I absolutely did not want to work for anyone else. Between school, friends, and gaming, I didn't really have time for a "real" job anyway.
So I had to ask myself: How can I keep doing what I love without having to do something I hate?
The answer was pretty obvious. Find a job that had something to do with video games. But I didn't have any experience in the industry, and I wasn't going to school for video game design. Also, in a job like that I'd probably end up working for an annoying boss. I was about ready to give up and go trade in some of my games.
That's when it hit me. Selling video games! I loved them, and I knew tons of other people did too. There's a huge market if you know where to start. And if you don't, that's where Video Game Godfather comes in.
Video Game Godfather was written buy a guy who basically made tens of thousands of dollars selling video games on the internet. He never had a boss and pretty much just worked whenever he wanted to. In addition to making tons of money, he got passes to E3 and other video game conferences (this is my next goal, haha).
I bought it, read through it a couple of times, and wasn't sure it would work. It's one of those things that sound too good to be true. But I was desperate, I needed money to buy new PS3 games, and I had a little free time.
I gave it a shot and I am SO glad I did. I'm not making as much as the author of the book yet, but I do pull in a extra $400-500 consistently each week. That's a fortune for a student with no "real job" who only works when she wants to! I also get all of my personal video game purchases for WAY cheaper than the 60 bucks a piece they sell for in stores.
So if you're someone who loves video games, or just someone who wants to make some extra cash without having a job, I suggest you check out Video Game Godfather. This guy is a genius, and I've already contacted him personally to let him know that!
